The village lights and night sky change as they prepare for the Holiday lights to be turned on...

And, then after a celebration with singing and dancing and sledding...

While at my granddaughters 5th grade winter school play, this little cutie pie was just to cute to not get one shot of. I just love her red hair, and her red winter fleece jacket!!!

Macro Monday.. my new Ornament from trip to Leavenworth Washington yesterday.

I am a bit eclectic with my Christmas ornaments... and could not resist this little donkey made out of wood products, while we were in Leavenworth Washington yesterday.
We went over for the "Christmas lighting of the Village" festivities. It was wonderful cold fun with Brea and her family, in this lovely little German Village in Washington State!

I have a new electric tea/water Kettle, and love it. It changes color as the water heats up...

And also Candles ...
What? You don't think they fit under this Technology challenge?

I have had more then one mishap with candles and my husband prefers I avoid them for fear of the end results!
How cool is this, candles that flicker and smell like vanilla, and even have a timer to turn themselves off after a period of time.
No flame and no fire, for Jan to torch the house with in a forgotten or clumsy moment!

Monochrome Weekly

For Monochrome Weekly I choose a shot of a crow I took last week. I work on the third floor of a building , and for the last few days at lunch time we have had lots of crows just hanging out on the trees around our building. This subject (being black already) seemed like good Monochrome material!

I have wanted to take these shots for some time, and had to drive to the top of a parking garage near my work, to get the view I wanted. I would of preferred the Olympic MT's behind Seattle to have more snow... you can see the Space Needle to the right though!
