In response to Mr. Burgus, a male duck is called a "drake" and I believe a female is actually called a "duck." A Mallard is the species of duck, hope that helps (I grew up with birdwatcher parents!) =D

Yes, but what does one call the female. I know the name mallard but I don't know the other. That was a very good blend of texture and color.
