Sunday Stills ..Sounds
The Sunday Stills challenge is to get a shot, where you can "hear" what was happening.
Because it is my granddaughter I will explain the situation.
I got this as my granddaughter was running to her mother with a hurt hand. She had her 100 pound Labradors leash wrapped around her hand. When the the dog took off quickly, it left her with a painful rope burn, and some very sore fingers.
She is a trooper and all turned out OK!
I felt it was a perfect shot of a beautiful human and human emotion. Emotion can be heard in a picture.
Scenic Sunday
I have always wanted to capture some shots of the old barns that are around my local countryside...I just wonder how excited the farmers must of been when these barns were first built on their farms, and who built them.
I have found about a half dozen of them scattered throughout a 10 -15 mile area that appear to be built by the same people, as they are very similar.
This particular barn is the only one I have found so far, that appears to be completely restored.

Please visit Scenic Sunday, for some other great scenic shots.

Skywatch Friday
I have 4 very different sky scenes for Friday Skywatch....
The first two with the moon.. I took this evening in my back yard, I thought it was a pretty cool sight!
The first two with the moon.. I took this evening in my back yard, I thought it was a pretty cool sight!
The second one I took as it got almost dark just a few minutes before posting this.. the moon looks like the star on a Christmas tree..And the plane was going overhead while I was in my work parking lot, I just had enough time while getting into my car..thinking should I try to get this?
Oh yeah! I grabbed the camera and looked straight UP, as the plane flew over me.

And the 4th one.. well as soon as I saw this cloud, I thought that sure looks like my farriers anvil!

Camera Critters
While out with the grand kids today at a family get together, we went down the road and visited a large stable. This pony took a moment from eating to visit with us, so he is now our Camera Critters post!
Mellow Yellow Monday..#33
I was panicking as I thought, "Do I have something for Mellow Yellow Monday?". And as I went through the pictures I took just today at a family get together, guess what I took a moment to click my camera at? Yep...a yellow rose!
Macro Monday..
I could not get this busy bee to stand still and pose for Macro Monday , as he was really a lovely little thing..

SkyWatch Friday #58, Kite Surfing...
I was at my Mom's today after work, on Lake Washington ...and there was a wonderful breeze which provided an opportunity to get some great shots of "Kite Surfers" ..I think that is what they are.. I loved this shot of the Kite in the sky..they are gigantic kites and can lift the surfer right off the water with a good breeze!

Watery Wednesday...
This first shot for Watery Wednesday was taken Monday afternoon, as it was warm and folks were out on Lake Washington having fun in their boats... if you enlarge the picture you can you see the Seattle Space Needle in the background.
The Canadian Geese were swimming in a neat row. On this part of the lake there is some kind of algae here that looks and smells awful, it comes about this time each year. The geese seem to think it is tasty!
I could not resist the power of the Wenatchee River near Leavenworth last weekend...
And the final shot I took this evening at a small lake near my home, very peaceful.

Macro Monday...
I could not resist using this Donkey's eye.. he was giving me the stare down.. the lens of my camera!
This butterfly bush looked like a goner after the cold and hard winter we had. The good news is that this is a pretty hardy bush!
We had 3 feet of snow for over a two weeks...which is not normal here in Western Washington!
